All the students which enter the university collide with many new impressions, environments and experience. One of the main impressions is the necessity to write different essays and prepare papers. The essay will show the admission committee your worth and it is the best opportunity to show it. The preparation of the essay is very important, so read the following tips, which will simplify the preparation process and make it more effective. You have to do the following things:
- Try to be personal and narrow. The essay must be in the form of thesis. You have to express first of all the main idea. You have to show in the essay, which person you really are.
- Prove that you are the best candidate. Try to find specific and vivid facts to prove the main idea of the essay. Collect as much as possible quotations, events, reasons and examples.
- Be Specific. Try to avoid generic and clichéd, write specific details of your life.
You do not have to do the following things:
- Do not try to say the things, which the admission committee wants to hear. Try to be honest. Every day the members of the admission committee read several hundreds of essays and they are similar. You have to pay attention on your essay. You do not have to write CV or resume. Writing of the essay is more creative work. It is not an autobiography, it is essay.
- Do not try to use as much words as possible. Be laconical and short.
- Avoid unnecessary words and phrases.
- Do not forget about proofread. Avoid the mistakes, as it will influence in a bad way on the result and will reduce your chance to be chosen.
